Operation Greenspace: Changing the World, One Push-up at a Time

At Operation Boot Camp, we're very passionate about fitness in the outdoors, which has sparked a desire in us to improve fitness of the outdoors!

Through our eco-fitness program, Operation Greenspace, we have developed our green mission: to improve our local parks and greenspaces wherever we go. By leveraging our dedicated franchise owners, and talented instructor teams we spread the word, and arm our 'troops' with simple steps to improve the fitness of their bodies and minds while at the same time increasing appreciation and support for local parks and greenspaces. Operation Greenspace highlights parks as fitness locations and inspires everyone to get active in the parks, and become active for the parks.

To kick off Operation Greenspace, Operation Boot Camp partnered with the Piedmont Park Conservancy and Park Pride in Atlanta, and our excitement has been growing ever since.

Through local partnerships, Operation Greenspace focuses on fundraising, preserving areas that promote physical activity, and other projects that benefit the park. Here are some of the ways we make a difference:

• Staffing membership drives for parks organizations
• Sponsoring fundraising pages on park's websites
• Partnering with local parks organizations
• Enhancing membership benefits with Operation Boot Camp discounts
• Donating Operation Boot Camp Gift Certificates for auctions and raffles
• Distributing educational materials
• Raising funds through 5k events
• Participating in and advertising for work days in parks  
• Assisting efforts to preserve land
• Organizing community events to promote outdoor fitness in parks
• Advertising parks events in weekly emails and newsletters
• Advocating for parks at government and community meetings
